How diverse is the local plant life? Make a biodiversity crown (or hat!)

The Basic Idea

Stick the tape to the crown in a long strip. See how many different natural materials/ leaves form different plants you can find. Stick them to the tape as you go.

Alternatively, use paper hats, caps, or any other head-wearable item!

Count how many different types you’ve found.

How to take it even further or make it more challenging

Use the crowns in imaginary play. Compare crowns from different environments. Represent your findings in a chart. Investigate why different plants grow in different environments.
